Attention and Sexual Self-Determination

At the moment, we are working on a child protection concept. This process, involving the whole music school, takes its time. We are taking our time to develop a clear stance and to raise our awareness.

Yesterday, tomatenklang attended a workshop at Kind im Zentrum, where we were able to reflect on children’s and adults’ sexuality, guided by the great instructor Daniel Ahrens. We discussed the meaning and importance of boundaries, learned where abuse begins and gained more knowledge about children’s and adolescents’ psychosexual development. After this insightful day, we unanimously decided that what is crucially decisive is the child’s perspective.
