What is a violin bow made of? What about a guitar string? Is the piano considered a string instrument? What sound does my hand make on a drum?

At the music school tomatenklang, we have an answer to all these questions and many more during our Carousel Day. Alongside our experienced teachers, you can try out the piano, the guitar, the violin and many other instruments, and find out what you always wanted to know about these instrument and the music world in general.

On our Carousel Day, we meet in the music school rooms at Immanuelkirchstraße 23. You can try out all available instruments and ask our teachers all your questions. You might already find your favourite instrument on this day! Or maybe you discover a completely new instrument?

Am I already strong enough to hold a violin? Of what use are the numbers one to four when making music? How many keys can I press simultaneously on the piano? Is the guitar a loud instrument?

Come and find out!

What is the Carousel Day?
The Carousel Day takes places approximately every six weeks. During the event, the children can try out various instruments in groups of a maximum of three children, during a timespan of two hours. You will get to know our favourite teachers and of course our music school. Most importantly, you will have a good time and surely find one or more instruments you like more than others, which you can then explore more in depth in “real” trial lessons. To participate in our Carousel Day, you should be at least 5,5 years old. We are excited to meet you!
